我们都知道，死亡是我们每个人无可逃避的必然结局，但是，我们对死亡这个话题却很避忌，似乎不提就不到来一样。

晨读毕淑敏的一篇题为《永别的艺术》的美文，对死亡多了一点思考，对生命多了一点感悟。

我们平时就算讨论死亡，更多的是讨论死亡本身，却很少提到身后属于自己的私事。比如，平生写下的日记、最心爱的藏书、曾经游山玩水的照片、陪伴了大半辈子的旧家具……我们不在了，曾经陪伴我们的那些物品还在。怎么办呢？我们不是名人，我们的身后物不会进博物馆而得到妥善保管，那到底该怎么处理？

这个难题多半会留给我们的孩子，他们由于思念而不舍，却又不知道该置于何处，随着时光的流逝，他们在不断的挣扎与隐痛中，慢慢舍弃。正如毕淑敏在文中所说，“当我认真思忖死后的技术性问题时，感觉到的不再是对死亡的畏惧，而是对不幸参与料理这一事物的人，充满歉意。”

文中有一段对女儿收拾父母遗物的描述：阁楼里像个旧仓库一样，到处都是杂物，旧书和电话簿摞得比人还高，有些样式过时的服装连包装都没拆，还有陈旧的卫生纸、洗涤剂、质地已发脆的布料……但是房地产证、银行存折等重要物件，却不知道藏哪里去了。最后她把所有杂物，包括家具都处理了，可最难办的是，母亲生前自费出版的100多册自传，无处处置，最后无奈地怀着歉意销毁了，只留下四本留念。

一想到现在我所拥有、所珍视的一切，将会成为生命凋谢所留下的垃圾，就再次觉得“拥有是一种负担”，而且死后这种负担会转移到我们后代的身上，这是何其沉重的一种负担。这时候，特别崇尚极简主义，“生不带来，死不带去”，我们又何必那么在乎得失呢？

自从阅读了《极简》一书，很少在淘宝上乱买东西，甚至衣服都很少买了。其实，拥有再多衣服，我们最常穿的也就是那么几件，实在没必要买那么多，给衣柜减负势在必行。今天再读此文，这种感觉更加的强烈，连将来家里装修的风格都在头脑里换了样，比原来考虑的还更要简约。

阅读此文，第一次清晰地感受到了生人对死亡的准备，有准备的人不会为孩子们增添任何麻烦，而无准备、生前又喜欢铺张浪费的人死后会给孩子留下很多麻烦，而且很可能自己曾经有意隐藏的个人隐秘也会毫无保留地曝光在生人面前。所以，“只有更明智地摆下人生的最后棋子，才能更有质量地获取完整的尊严”。

但是，死亡大多是在某一个不可知的时辰，与我们正面相撞，无论多么伟大的人都要臣服于它麾下。所以在文中作者指出，经常想想自己明天或者最近就可能死，其实是很有益处的。首先，有利于感悟生命，体验到生命的脆弱，会格外地珍惜今天，活在当下;其二，更有利于抓紧时间，我们常常以为自己坐拥无限时光，可以任意抛洒，而死亡正好给了我们一个不由分说的倒计时，让我们更珍惜生命中的每一分每一秒;其三，有利于我们善待他人，快乐自身，因为“死亡使真情凸现，友情长存”。

　市里搞民间剪纸艺术展览，邀省里几个专家来观看，那五光十色的剪纸彩画，蕴涵爱情故事的连环画，还有套色木刻般的剪纸，目不暇接，但人们偏在一幅似乎粗陋的作品前驻足不前。这幅剪纸是十二生肖图案，用的是普通红纸，土里土气，缺少光泽。专家的目光却凝固在这里。我细细地去看，才觉得这幅剪纸不同一般，有点像汉画，内涵丰富，境界高古，粗陋中可见匠心。

　专家说：“大巧若拙，这是一件民间珍品。”

　当听说作者是山乡老农时，大家的眼光都拉直了，动了去看看他的念头。

剪纸人李富财居豫西鲁山县下汤乡，年近五旬，一目眇，一目却熠熠发光；左腿稍跛，双足着布鞋，冬日不喜穿袜，走路拐弯抹角，十分迅疾。

他的小泥屋距温泉不远，蒸气氤氲。室内一灶一锅一床，足见生活简朴。打问乡人，方知为奇人： 薄床独被，门窗招风，寒冬不冷；蔬食淡饭，百食不厌，体健无病。我们跟他拉手，触之无温，那掌粗厚且茧大，如铜钱累累斑斑。少不了嘘寒问暖，他报之憨笑：“嘿嘿，惯了，惯了。”

　人丑，不娶妻，孑身独居，数十年伴剪刀一把，据讲，剪的红纸三大车也拉不完。方圆十多里办喜事少不了他，逢节更忙，怀揣剪刀，跑了这家跑那家，乐呵呵的，为人家剪窗花、壁花、顶棚花和各样字画。人说，李富财能带来福气。他也乐意送上一片喜庆。开宴之时，常忘了他。他却悄悄溜了；留的红纸花在，算捧场了。

　我们问的多，他答的少，口讷，憨实之态溢于言表。当介绍省城某某教授某某会长时，李不知何尊何贵，神态木然。

　目不识文，但无师自通。他剪的《凤求凰》《芝麻官坐轿》《花果山群猴图》，构思巧妙，图案复杂，画中有画。五彩花卉自是布满他胸中，题目是我们后定的。《花果山群猴图》中，老猴痴呆，小猴顽态可掬，中间插两个山鬼，面目狰狞，呼之欲出，观后有如临其境之感。

艺高人胆大，折叠有巧，下剪随心创意，尽情翻新，变戏法似的能剪出580多种复杂图案，仙手也！

　忽见右手中指指节隆起，骨质变粗，数倍于他人，成包状，不仅悚然。喔，枝虬般的手指，我们的传统艺术之根啊！

Afternoon was Mrs. Conroy's forite time of day. After a hard day at work, her eyes were tired and her feet hurt. She enjoyed the nice long nap she took on the bus. Mrs. Conroy had made friends with the bus driver, Mr. Angstrom. He always woke her up before her stop. She usually felt fresh as a daisy(精神饱满的) when she got off the bus.

　But today was different. Mr. Angstrom wasn't driving. A small man in a wrinkled uniform sat in the driver's seat.

　Mrs. Conroy looked out the window. It was a warm afternoon. Though she tried to keep her eyes open, the gentle rocking of the bus had a lulling effect. Within a few minutes her eyes closed. Her head dropped to her shoulders. In spite of herself, Mrs. Conroy fell fast asleep.

　The next thing Mrs. Conroy knew, a hand was on her shoulder. Someone was shaking her awake.

　"Wake up, lady. We've come to the end of the line. Wake up."

　Mrs. Conroy blinked and opened her eyes. The bus driver looked down at her. "I said, this is the end of the line, lady. Time to get off the bus."

　Mrs. Conroy peered out the window. "Where am I?" she asked. "I was supposed to get off at Es Avenue."

　"You're at the last stop, lady. Come on, get off the bus. I he a schedule to keep to."

　Mrs. Conroy was hing trouble waking up. She staggered to her feet.The bus driver took her arm and helped her down the aisle. As she stepped off the bus, she felt a sense of panic. "Wait a minute," she said in a shrill voice. "This isn't Es Avenue. Where am I? How can I get home?"

　"Cool off, lady. I told you, you're at the end of the line. We all make it here sooner or later."

　"But why can't I ride back with you?" she pleaded. "I he the fare!"

　"Sorry, lady," he said as he closed the door. "It's against the rules."

　Mrs. Conroy watched the bus disear down the road. She looked around and tried to figure out what part of the city she was in. Suddenly the sun seemed awfully bright.

　Mrs. Conroy squinted(斜视). She didn't recognize this place. There were no trees around, no street signs, and no people. The city seemed to he ended miles back. She couldn't get her bearings. There was nothing to see in any direction. Nothing at all. Mrs. Conroy wondered if she were still dreaming.

　"Are you ready, Madam?"

　The voice came from behind her. Mrs. Conroy whirled around, her heart beating rapidly.

　"Who? What? Are you speaking to me?"

　A tall, handsome man in a blue pin-striped suit stepped forward. His suit reminded her of the one that her boss, Mr. Burton, always wore. What was a businessman doing so far out here in the country?

　The man smiled. "Yes, Mrs. Conroy. I've come to meet you. It's time to go now."

　"Go where? What are you talking about? And how do you know my name?"

　The man in the blue suit smiled.

　"I know it must be very confusing, Mrs. Conroy. Most people seem to feel that way at first. But as we go along, everything will become quite clear." He took her by the arm. "It's all right," he said kindly. "Just come with me."

　"No! I'm not going anywhere with you. Why should I? I don't even know who you are," Mrs. Conroy said. She pulled away from the man and stepped back.

　The man smiled gently. "I'm only an assistant, Mrs. Conroy," he said.

　"Well, Mr. Assistant, there must be some mistake. I just fell asleep and stayed on the bus too long. Then the driver made me get off. He wouldn't take me back with him! He talked some nonsense about rules. I'm going to call the company and report him!"

　"He was just doing his job, Mrs. Conroy," the man said patiently.
